"As a lover and defender of this exquisite biosphere, I pledge to honor 1 or more people every day for taking an eco-logical action, or, challenge 1 or more people every day to take an eco-logical action and then honor their success." ______________________________________________ signature / date My daily EarthE Honors goals :: 1/ Take 1 or more eco-logical actions for our superb planet. 2/ Reward a person(s) for a eco action, and/or ask a person(s) to take an eco action or to stop taking an eco-harmful action in exchange for an eco reward. There are 3 print page flavors to choose from :: #4 The EarthE Honors card print-page #4 has 4 cards on each print page. To make the cards, cut the printed page in quarters. Then fold each quarter in half to create four 2-sided cards. Pick out 1 of the cards for yourself and give rest to others. >> #8 The EarthE Honors card print-page #8 has 8 cards on each print page. However, you will have to run the paper through your printer twice -- or use a printer that prints on both sides. This page can also be used to print only the front or the back of the card. >> #10 The EarthE Honors card print-page #10 has 10 cards on each print page. However, your printer and browser combo must be capable to do it, and the top and bottom margins need to be set to zero. Internet Explorer does 10-up pretty well. >> Printing the EarthE Honors cards on heavier paper is a classy way to go -- but is not necessary. When EarthE Honors cards are printed they will be sharp and in focus -- even if they appear a little blurry in some browsers. To fit the most cards on a page, set the printing margins to the smallest values possible. Use "Page Setup" and/or "Print Preview" to adjust the margin values. In most cases, the EarthE Honors cards will be 3.5 inches wide when printed. This standard business card width fits in wallets. If the cards are not this size when you print them, open the "Print Preview' window and then adjust the scale/percentage to 100%. When adjusting margins, it is easiest to just enter "0" for the "top", "bottom" and "side" margins. The browser and printer will then re-apply the smallest default value available.  green challenges. blue rewards. earthe.org Asking others to take specific eco-logical actions and rewarding their successes helps manifest a world that honors people that help the planet, and stops supporting those that hurt it. EarthE.org has eco art, eco money, eco kisses, eco bracelets and eco party ideas to honor eco actions. ____ Bonus EarthE Honors Actions ____ • Invite others to join EarthE Honors, and start a local E.H. group. • Post your actions and pics on EarthE Facebook, MySpace and beyond. • Use a blue or green pen or embroidery to put the EarthE symbol on your clothing, belongings and skin to show you give EarthEs. *Ballpoint pen ink is non-toxic by law and safe on the skin. To show others that you give EarthE rewards, the card also mentions putting on the "E" symbol with pens or embroidery. Our sister project -- XO Earth -- has a lot more about how and why to put on eco symbols at XOEarth.org. Printing and giving out black and white versions of the EarthE Honors card is fine too! It's more about how they are offered, than whether they are in color or not. We still give out black and white EarthE Honors cards at schools and fairs --- they work great. Printing on colored paper is another option. If you want to print an EarthE Honors cards in a size that is not listed, contact us and we will create a page for you to print from. The wording and colors on each of the 4 cards varies a little. Show your EarthE Honors card to others to encourage others to join you in taking daily eco actions, and it helps empower a visible ecological society. |
